The South Shore Autism Center was founded by Erin McLoughlin, Ph.D., BCBA-D, in 2016. The mission of SSAC is to be a warm, welcoming place where children with autism receive high quality ABA services, and where their families join a community of support, knowledge, and care. We achieve that mission through naturalistic ABA interventions in a bright, friendly environment. Children spend their days around other children, including typically developing peers, and with trained, enthusiastic clinicians. Our parent training program is robust, offering individual and group training on a weekly and monthly basis. We are committed to collaboration with school districts and other providers to ensure our clients’ services allow maximum participation in their communities and in their families’ day to day lives. At SSAC, we teach through each child’s strengths and motivation, infusing our services with creativity and joy. Our clients achieve exceptional outcomes and develop skills and relationships to last a lifetime.
All SSAC services use ABA methodology and are covered by insurance or private pay. We pride ourselves on creating custom-fit plans to suit each child’s needs, with the end goal of helping each individual and family reach their full potential.
Thank you all for taking good care of my baby girl. I was nervous starting at the center but seeing how you guys have all surrounded her with so much support and compassion has shown me I have made the right decision. The minute I tell her she’s going to ‘school’ she lets me get her ready with ease and runs to the front door. I can tell she absolutely loves it there. You guys all really invest in the child and go above and beyond. Thank you for all that you do and continue to do.
Caring staff who have the experience to help individuals with autism.
South Shore Autism Center has given my family guidance and hope after our son’s autism diagnosis. I’m continually impressed with the care and compassion that all staff members provide to every child and family member at the center. It’s encouraging to see our son’s progress since starting at SSAC. Their parent training classes and community field trips offer invaluable support in dealing with everyday behavior challenges. As a parent, it’s comforting to know our son is receiving treatment in such a supportive and nurturing environment.
