Behavioral Therapist

BCBA Clinical Coordinator

As a Clinical Coordinator at SSAC, you’ll step into a role of senior leadership and greater independence, overseeing and advancing the quality of behavior intervention programs for individuals with autism.

Our Training Programs

Continuing Education Development Opportunities

South Shore Autism Center is committed to providing high quality training opportunities to all staff members through various modalities both at the onset of joining SSAC, as well as throughout each staff member’s tenure. At the onset of training, all staff members participate in an orientation, led by SSAC’s Training and Development Specialist. Trainings include ABA Principles and Procedures, Behavior Management, Data Collection, and Ethics. Onboarding staff members will also participate in Safety Care Training, as well as CPR and First Aid training.

SSAC continuously updates their standards and materials to ensure that training topics and materials are innovative and provide a meaningful experience for all staff members.

Orientation

South Shore Autism Center is committed to providing high quality training opportunities to all staff members through various modalities both at the onset of joining SSAC, as well as throughout each staff member’s tenure. During orientation, training is facilitated to all members by SSAC’s Training and Development Specialist. Trainings include ABA Principles and Procedures, Behavior Management, Data Collection, and Ethics. Clinical Supervision

SSAC provides continued professional development through weekly Clinical Meetings, where BCBAs provide direct training to their staff on program updates, or behavioral principles that are relevant to their current caseloads.

Professional Development

The professional development is built into all full-time staff members schedules. Within the quarterly professional development opportunities, staff members can expect to receive relevant trainings to their program’s needs, as well as to further their knowledge within the field of ABA.

Registered Behavior Technician

South Shore Autism Center offers a no-cost, self-paced 40-hour asynchronous Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training for staff seeking professional development. Completed over six months, this training is accessible outside of client sessions. Post-training, SSAC conducts initial competency assessments during supervised sessions with a BACB-approved supervisor. Assigned RBT supervisors ensure adherence to BACB standards for supervision hours and monthly touch points. Upon completion of training, passing competency and RBT exams, and obtaining RBT credentials, staff members receive a stipend and a pay increase aligned with their upgraded professional credentials.

 

Training Platform

SSAC utilizes an online asynchronous training platform.  Within the platform, BCBAs are able to accrue CEUs towards maintaining their BCBA and LABA certifications as assigned by Executive Directors, Clinical Directors, and Assistant Clinical Directors.  SSAC RBTs and BTs are able to access trainings such as HIPAA or Mandated Reporter training, as well as other SSAC specific training.
