Behavioral Therapist (BT)

BTs work 1:1 with children to build communication, social, and daily life skills. With daily support and training, they create a consistent, positive environment for growth. Seasonal and part-time roles available.

 


2: Lead Behavioral Therapist

Lead Behavior Therapists oversee daily operations of a classrooms. Working closely with supervising BCBAs, they support each child’s progress while providing strong, positive leadership.

 


3: Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA)

As a BCBA you’ll take on a leadership role overseeing and developing individualized behavior programs while ensuring high-quality care for our clients.

 


4: Assistant Clinical Director

You will assume a pivotal role overseeing program excellence, bringing leadership and strategic guidance to ensure optimal outcomes for our clients.

 


5: Clinical Director

Clinical Directors guide program quality and support team operations to ensure thoughtful, consistent care for every client.

Training & Professional Development

At South Shore Autism Center, you’ll be supported from day one—with consistent supervision, hands-on training, and clear opportunities for growth.

Orientation

Your growth starts from day one. Our onboarding process is designed to build a strong foundation through structured training led by our Training Specialist. During orientation, you are introduced to core ABA principles, behavior management, data collection, and ethics, along with Safety-Care, CPR, and First Aid certification—so you feel prepared, supported, and confident as you begin your work.

Clinical Supervision

From onboarding through every stage of your time with us, you’ll receive structured guidance and training through weekly meetings with a supervising BCBA. Our experienced clinicians are always onsite to provide direct feedback, mentorship, and oversight so you feel confident in your work, supported in your growth, and always have access to guidance when questions arise.

Professional Development

Quarterly professional development sessions are built into all staff schedules. Clinical Directors lead the training with focus on relevant topics such as ethics, behavior strategies, and clinical best practices. Sessions are designed to support day-to-day work, expand skills and to ensure learning is both practical and meaningful.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification

South Shore Autism Center offers a no-cost, self-paced 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training for staff pursuing professional growth. The course is completed independently, on your own time, and within a six-month period.

After completing the training, staff work with a BCBA to complete required competency assessments during supervised sessions and receive ongoing guidance to meet Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) supervision standards.

Once the competency assessment and RBT exam are completed, staff earn their RBT credential, along with a bonus and a corresponding pay increase.

Training Platform

SSAC provides a virtual, self-paced training platform that allows staff to complete trainings on their own time. BCBAs can access Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain certification, while RBTs and BTs can complete required trainings such as HIPAA, Mandated Reporter, and other SSAC-specific learning modules.

BCBA Mentorship Program

SSAC offers a comprehensive BCBA Mentoring Program designed to support team members pursuing their Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis. Mentees can complete their fieldwork hours onsite through a structured supervision experience—at no cost—while gaining hands-on clinical training. Through partnerships with local universities, including Simmons University and Regis College, the program aligns with academic and certification requirements and follows all BACB standards.

Mentees gain real-world experience utilizing data analysis, behavior planning, parent training, staff coaching, and collaboration with other providers. With a combination of individualized mentorship, practical learning, and monthly group sessions, SSAC helps candidates build skills, complete certification requirements, and prepare for the BCBA exam.
