Partnering With School Districts To Maximize Student Outcomes

At South Shore Autism Center, we partner with local public school districts to provide inclusive, supportive, and effective learning environments for students with diverse needs. Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Behavior Therapists support students through our contracted services that are tailored to meet the needs of each district. SSAC staff deliver IEP services for students at the classroom or building level. 

Our school-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services are designed to support students, staff, and families by promoting positive behavior, skill development, and meaningful engagement in the classroom.  

 

In Classroom Support By Licensed Clinicians & Behavior Therapists

🔹 Direct Student Services
Trained Behavior Therapists and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) provide individualized, in-class support under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)

🔹 Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA)
In-depth Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) are conducted by trained BCBAs to systematically determine the communicative function(s) of challenging behaviors of students with input from family members and school personnel. 

🔹 Behavior Support Planning & Implementation
BCBAs design evidence-based support plans tailored to each student’s needs and work closely with school teams to implement and monitor these plans with fidelity.

Consultation Back by Evidence-Based Practices

🔹 Classroom & Staff Consultation
BCBAs collaborate with district personnel to support achievement of IEP goals for individual students to assist in the generalization of strategies developed during direct instruction as well as to provide individualized guidance and consultation for classroom educators working with these students. 

🔹 Data Collection & Progress Monitoring
SSAC provides ongoing data collection and analysis to track progress, adjust interventions, and ensure measurable outcomes for students. School personnel are trained and supported in the implementation of accurate data collection systems. 

 

 

Program Evaluation &

  

🔹 Program Evaluation To Evaluate Strengths & Areas For Improvement

Detailed analysis of a specific program within a South Shore MA school district is conducted by a highly skilled BCBA to better understand the strengths and needs of the program. Program evaluation is tailored to meet the individual needs as identified by the district administrator requesting the evaluation and includes surveys of district personnel, direct observations, and analysis of program data.

Program evaluation culminates in a detailed report summarizing the findings of the evaluation as well as targeted, actionable recommendations that address the individualized needs identified in the evaluation to improve the program. Program evaluation also includes a meeting with the district team to review the results of the program evaluation. .
