Our Story
South Shore Autism Center (SSAC) was founded by Erin McLoughlin, PH.D., a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and former special education teacher who saw firsthand how difficult it was for families to access care that truly fit their lives. Through her experience in classrooms and clinical work, Erin recognized a gap on the South Shore: families needed high-quality, evidence-based ABA services close to home—delivered with compassion, flexibility, and respect for parents as essential partners. SSAC was created to meet that need, in a setting that feels more like a preschool than a clinic, where children learn through natural, child-led play and interaction.
At its core, SSAC was built around families. Erin believed care should fit into real life—not the other way around. That means listening to parents, staying flexible, and creating a place where children enjoy coming and parents feel a sense of relief. Because a child’s success isn’t just progress on paper—it’s the whole family feeling more confident, supported, and hopeful about what comes next.
