Norwell, Massachusetts Center
Our autism center in Norwell, MA, provides 1:1 services for every child in a warm and inviting classroom setting. We pair each child with a skilled and knowledgeable behavioral therapist that uses Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to increase desired behaviors and decrease difficult or aggressive behaviors.
ABA therapy provides many of incredible benefits for children who have autism spectrum disorder (ASD). It helps teachers, parents, caregivers, and therapists understand more about the child. Typically, autistic children have a challenging time regulating their emotions, interacting with others, and independence. Our goal is to use ABA therapy to enhance skills and work through challenging behaviors. Therapists want to understand how the environment affects the behavior, how the different behavior works, and how learning takes place. The therapy will apply the behavior understanding to real-life situations. What can an applied behavior analysis program in Norwell, MA, help with? It can help decrease behavioral issues. You can also see improved social skills, academics, focus, attention, and memory. ABA will also help elevate your child’s communication skills and language.
Since ABA isn’t a one-size-fits-all therapy, South Shore’s therapists create programs for each individual child based on their skill level and comfort. We adapt to them and use naturalistic methods to establish and measure daily goals. We seek to enhance every day lives of the kids and aim for long term success! Our behavioral therapists will use positive reinforcement as one of their main strategies. This
